Compass System Analyst Internship

About the role

Amidel is an IT and business consulting firm that delivers specialised solutions to public and private sector clients. The company is looking for high‑calibre graduates who are passionate about the intersection of business, economics and mathematics to join as a Compass System Analyst intern. You will work closely with nationally recognised leaders in insurance and system analysis, gaining hands‑on experience with the FIS PAS (formerly Compass) platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build solutions for administering insurance and investment products using the FIS PAS application.
• Gather user requirements and develop system solutions that meet those needs efficiently.
• Communicate with clients to identify needs, evaluate alternatives and support project management.
• Facilitate design sessions, train users and troubleshoot issues.
• Create functional and technical specifications and review test plans before User Acceptance Testing.
• Provide technical support, conduct system testing and document solution designs.

Required profile

• Good understanding of insurance risk and investment products.
• Knowledge of relational database design principles.
• Intermediate capability in Oracle SQL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Goal‑oriented, critical thinking and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery principles.
