Community and Marketing Coordinator

About the role

CampusKey is looking for a Community and Marketing Coordinator in Cape Town. The role creates the heartbeat of campus life by bringing people together, building relationships, managing events, creating content and making sure every student feels part of the CampusKey family. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Community: plan and run social, wellness, sport, kindness and workshop events; lead and support mentors; build student relationships through touchpoints and wellbeing initiatives; deliver Freshers and Kickstart Week; support Living and Learning and Go Change the World programmes; manage collaborations with local brands; keep social spaces tidy and on-brand.
• Marketing: run campus-level Instagram and TikTok (content, posting, engagement); capture photo and video content and support central campaigns; manage posters, activations, billboards and local visibility; keep the campus website information up to date; support digital marketing with insights and small content pieces; drive viewings, allocations and rebookings towards 100% occupancy.
• Communication: manage daily student communication across WhatsApp, email and direct messages; handle crisis communication with support from the Central Team; maintain proactive, on-brand communication.

Required profile

• Relevant 3-year degree (Marketing, Communications or similar).
• Experience in social media and events.
• Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans; a third language is a bonus.
• Valid driver's licence and own car.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking ability.
• Passion for youth culture, community building and the CampusKey brand.
• Natural connector, customer-focused, energetic, creative, resourceful and a good team collaborator.
