Community Advisor – Department of Home Affairs (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

As a Community Advisor for FNB under the Department of Home Affairs initiative, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience by understanding client needs, recommending suitable financial solutions, and guiding customers to the most appropriate service channels, including digital and self‑service options.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive and helpful experience.
• Explain banking processes and requirements in clear, simple language.
• Educate customers on the correct banking platforms and digital self‑service tools.
• Analyse customer data to recommend tailored financial solutions and identify sales opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and risk guidelines.
• Achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of accuracy and ethical conduct.

Required profile

• Grade 12/NQF Level 4 minimum; NQF Level 5 certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years experience in customer‑facing roles within financial services.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
• Ability to empathise with customers and stay updated on industry trends.
