Clinical Research Associate – Functional Service Provider (South Africa)

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join its Functional Service Provider (FSP) division in South Africa. You will support multinational clinical projects, ensuring high‑quality monitoring and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate all aspects of the clinical monitoring process on‑site.
• Deliver exemplary customer service across multiple, challenging projects.
• Work effectively within multi‑national project teams.
• Maintain independent monitoring activities in accordance with ICH‑GCP, EU and FDA requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in a life‑sciences field.
• Minimum 6 months of independent, on‑site monitoring experience in a pharmaceutical or clinical research organisation.
• Strong understanding of medical/therapeutic area terminology.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and local languages.
