Clinical Psychologist / Counsellor – Port Elizabeth

About the role

Intellect, a global mental health technology company, is expanding its EAP provider network and is hiring clinical psychologists and counsellors in Port Elizabeth. The role suits people who want to supplement their private practice or follow a full-time career path, with flexible employment models such as freelance, contracted, part-time or full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 telehealth and onsite coaching, counselling or therapy-style consultations, giving general advice only (no treatment)
• Deliver the Critical Incident Stress Programme (CISP) virtually or onsite as needed
• Facilitate webinars and in-person seminars (optional)
• Support employees with wellbeing, stress and resilience
• Collaborate with Intellect's internal clinical team to improve EAP programmes

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Counselling
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Additional Afrikaans is an advantage
• Background in managerial or leadership support (e.g. coaching managers, HR advisory)
• Prior EAP or workplace counselling experience
• Willingness for occasional onsite sessions
• Police check and/or Working With Children check only if requested by some clients
