Clinical Nurse (R/N) – PB Qualified – 12‑Month MICU Role

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Nurse (R/N) to join the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Netcare Kingsway Hospital for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves delivering holistic, person‑centred nursing care to critically ill patients and supporting their families.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for MICU patients.
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary health team, including physicians, physiotherapists and allied health professionals.
• Document all nursing interventions accurately and maintain patient records.
• Act as a patient advocate, communicating effectively with families and health professionals.
• Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior nursing staff on the unit.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification (R/N) with PB (Professional Baccalaureate) certification.
• Current registration with the relevant nursing council.
• Experience in a high‑dependency or intensive care setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to delivering safe, compassionate care.
