Clinical Data Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Clinical Data Specialist to support the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team in delivering high‑quality data products that meet client needs. The role involves managing data operations for specific protocols, leading focused data‑management tasks, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Data Operations Coordinator for a protocol with up to five operations staff or for multiple central laboratory studies.
• Provide leadership on targeted data‑management activities such as coding, testing, or database design.
• Serve as backup to the Data Operations Coordinator or Data Team Lead when required.
• Conduct data reviews, write and resolve data clarifications, and lead database audit teams.
• Develop, test, and validate databases and edit specifications, and perform programming tests.
• Perform clinical data coding and ensure adherence to core operating procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with the CDM team and meet assigned objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, mathematical sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently with initiative.
• Proven capability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
