Client Services Officer – Stellenbosch

About the role

PathCare is looking for a Client Services Officer to join its Stellenbosch branch. The role suits a self-confident person who can build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders and who fits the PathCare values. It combines client service, relationship building and marketing coordination within a pathology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture client relations with new and existing stakeholders to improve collaboration and efficiency.
• Work with the Area Manager, Zone Manager, pathologists and seniors on growth and innovation.
• Organise, coordinate and drive marketing activities, including CPD events and wellness days.
• Maintain and grow the current market by identifying growth opportunities.
• Educate, inform and liaise with all stakeholders.
• Promote and facilitate IT platforms for supporters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve supporter and patient complaints and queries professionally and promptly.

Required profile

• Healthcare qualification (Medical Technology, Nursing or Technician) with marketing and client service experience, or five years of marketing experience in a medical or healthcare setting, preferably with a three-year Marketing Diploma or degree.
• Valid Code B driver's licence (manual) and own vehicle.
• Extensive experience in a pathology environment and extensive client service experience, including acting as the main point of contact, networking and resolving complaints.
• Experience coordinating marketing activities; knowledge of a Stellenbosch pathology supporter base is highly advantageous.
• Fluent written and spoken English with an understanding of Afrikaans.

Required skills

• Intermediate computer literacy (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email).
• QA knowledge including Point of Care, accreditation audits and non-conformance/client feedback systems.
• Advantageous: pathology medical terminology and test database, Meditech and PP3/V3 systems.
• Advanced report writing, planning and project management, public speaking and presentation skills.
