Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Executive Leadership

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to join the executive leadership team of a national textile and homeware supplier. This strategic role will drive operational excellence, sustainable growth, and digital transformation while preserving the company’s core values.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the business.
• Drive business growth, operational efficiency and profitability.
• Lead transformation, innovation and technology initiatives, including AI and systems optimisation.
• Oversee financial performance in partnership with the Finance team.
• Develop high‑performing leadership teams and succession plans.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Business, Finance or similar (MBA advantageous).
• Minimum 10 years of executive leadership experience.
• Proven success leading growth, transformation or large operational businesses.
• Strong commercial, financial and strategic acumen.
• Experience in retail, wholesale, manufacturing or distribution environments is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience leading technology and business process improvement initiatives.
