About the role
eThekwini is recruiting a Chief Clerk for its Revenue Protection Branch in Durban. The post provides an efficient clerical and administrative service to the branch and reports to the Chief Technologist (Metering Inspections).
Key responsibilities
- Record, maintain, schedule and control inspections, disconnections and reconnections in the required computer application.
- Liaise with the Revenue Billing Division, customer service centres and industrial/commercial customers to resolve queries and process system updates.
- Process timecards, job cards, leave and sick leave applications, and fault complaints through the computer system.
- Create works orders and job cards and issue work to field staff.
- Supervise and control the performance of staff.
Required profile
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent; preferred: a certificate in the Administration field.
- 3 years of relevant experience; preferred: 4 years.
- Valid motor vehicle driving licence.
