Checker (GR1) – Logistics Operations

About the role

The Checker (GR1) supports DP World’s logistics operations by ensuring that goods and containers are accurately assembled, packed, weighed, stacked, loaded and unloaded. The role involves recording all relevant details in written or electronic formats in line with standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the assembling, packing, weighing, stacking, loading and unloading of goods or containers.
• Record particulars of goods or containers manually or electronically according to predefined SOPs.
• Maintain compliance with governance, service level agreements and quality standards.
• Plan and organise daily tasks to meet performance targets and operational timelines.
• Provide continuous feedback on task delivery to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Upper secondary education (Grade 12/matric, NQF Level 4).
• Up to 3 years of experience in a similar environment, including at least 1 year of managerial or specialist experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work safely.
• Commitment to DP World’s values and continuous learning.

• Basic proficiency in manual data entry and electronic record‑keeping.
