CHE Tutor – Academic Support Specialist

About the role

The institution seeks a dedicated CHE Tutor to provide academic support and mentorship to students enrolled in higher‑education programmes. You will help learners succeed by delivering tutoring, facilitating group sessions, and supporting assessment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group tutoring across assigned modules.
• Assist students with course content, assignments, and exam preparation.
• Monitor student progress, identify those needing extra help, and provide constructive feedback.
• Support the preparation, administration, and moderation of assessments.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, performance reports, and other academic documentation.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality‑assurance processes, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Education, Commerce, Business Management, HR, Finance, Accounting or related field); postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Previous experience in tutoring, lecturing, or academic support.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using online learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard).
