CFO / Head of Finance (CA (SA)) – Automotive Parts Group

About the role

The client is a large, profitable South African automotive parts distribution group with a R1 billion+ turnover and a fast‑growing footprint. They are seeking a CFO/Head of Finance to own the entire finance function and drive strategic, operational and commercial excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full finance function for a R1 billion+ automotive parts distribution group.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of about 30 staff, including finance managers, controllers, branch accountants, shared‑services, IT and data‑analytics members.
• Provide commercial insight and operational rigour to the executive team, ensuring accurate reporting and strategic decision‑making.
• Implement processes and procedures that minimise risk, improve efficiency and drive profitability.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA (SA)) with solid CFO or Head of Finance experience in an SME of comparable size.
• Background in distribution, imports, FMCG or automotive parts environments.
• Proven ability to lead large commercial and finance teams in a fast‑changing, entrepreneurial setting.
• High accountability, hands‑on operational mindset and zero tolerance for inefficiency.
