About the role
The caretaker will supervise the operation of recreation centres and libraries, ensuring facilities are well‑maintained and services are delivered efficiently. The role includes managing staff, handling bookings, and performing minor repairs.
Key responsibilities
- Execute supervisory functions within the centre and its surroundings.
- Supervise general workers and oversee human‑resource administration tasks.
- Manage facility use by hirers in accordance with agreements.
- Handle all enquiries regarding bookings.
- Order and control cleaning materials and equipment following procedures.
- Perform minor repairs to buildings and playing surfaces as required.
- Ensure staff comply with safety requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid EB driver's licence.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
