Business Development Representative - Tech/SaaS

About the role

Huzzle connects talent with leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and Australia, including startups, digital agencies, SaaS companies and tech-enabled businesses. As a Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients in the SaaS landscape, working closely with leadership and sales teams to identify decision-makers, articulate the value proposition and build a pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads through outbound outreach by cold calling, personalised emailing and social selling
• Qualify inbound inquiries and assess prospect needs against the solution
• Research target accounts and industry trends to tailor messaging for different personas
• Keep a consistent pipeline of activities in the CRM so no lead slips through
• Work with Account Executives to schedule discovery calls and handoffs
• Exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline contribution

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional experience in SaaS or tech sales
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding outbound prospecting quotas
• Deep understanding of the SaaS business model and ability to explain complex technical concepts simply
• Strong written and verbal communication, with active listening
• Resilience, coachability and a competitive drive in a high-growth environment
• Nice to have: startup or high-growth scale-up experience, familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, Challenger or SPIN, and a tech industry network
