Sales Lead - Dental Portfolio (Field-Based)

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Sales Lead to champion a specialized Dental Portfolio across Gauteng. This is a leadership-focused, field-based position reporting to the Commercial and Strategy Manager, with responsibility for 1-2 Professional Sales Representatives in the territory. It suits a commercially minded person who enjoys influencing dental practitioners and driving scientific engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all field-based activities in Gauteng, making 8-12 high-quality daily sales calls to dentists and dental-focused pharmacies, and deliver professional detailing and scientific discussions
• Run product training sessions, in-practice workshops and clinical demonstrations, and achieve 95-100% account coverage
• Manage and report on territory budgets, capture interactions in Salesforce CRM, and provide excellent customer service
• Engage dental associations, educators and training bodies, and deliver CPD sessions, webinars and workshops while keeping communications scientifically accurate and compliant
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders in dentistry and specialized pharmacy groups
• Develop business plans from analytics and brand strategy, analyse monthly sales data, present quarterly business reviews and take part in strategic projects
• Mentor or support junior representatives, take part in IQVIA development programmes, and stay up to date on products, therapeutic areas and selling skills

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification; dental, oral health, dental technology or a related clinical science qualification preferred
• Experience engaging dentists with established relationships is essential
• Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical, dental or healthcare product sales, and previous leadership, coaching or sales management exposure
• Must hold a valid driver's licence and live in Gauteng
• Ability to work independently as part of a remote, field-based team
