Commercial & Pricing Process Specialist - Outages

About the role

This role is part of the end-to-end Value Stream operating model, which is structured around four Value Streams to support customers from opportunity through execution. The Commercial Process Manager for the Outages Value Stream strengthens commercial and ITO process discipline, standard work, governance, process documentation, handoff quality and continuous improvement. It works across commercial, CommOps, field services, tendering, quality, sourcing, finance and execution teams, reporting to the Commercial & Pricing Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management and continuous improvement of commercial and ITO processes for the Outages Value Stream, focusing on reliability, consistency and execution discipline.
• Maintain standard work, process flows, governance routines, review quality and escalation paths.
• Own and maintain process documentation within the SPS ITO and Commercial QMS framework.
• Partner with Sales, CommOps, Tendering, Field Services, Execution, Sourcing, Finance and Quality teams to improve process discipline in scope definition, assumptions, exclusions, handoffs and execution readiness.
• Lead investigations of Outages NCRs and drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the Zero Defect Network program by turning defect themes and lessons learned into process improvements.
• Reduce defects, rework and variability, and support operating reviews with process health updates.
• Drive adoption of process changes through training, coaching and communication, and support Value Stream transformation across Fossil, Nuclear and Industrial segments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Significant experience in commercial operations, sales support, tendering, proposal management, ITO processes, quality or process management.
• Strong understanding of commercial and ITO processes, governance and documentation discipline in a complex industrial or services environment.
• Experience in a matrix organization across commercial, operational and functional teams.
• Desired: experience in outages and services projects, QMS, standard work, Lean, quality systems, NCR management or Zero Defect methods.

The role is based in Johannesburg and is described as global, working across the Fossil, Nuclear and Industrial segments. Relocation assistance is not provided.
