Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new‑business growth across the central region of South Africa, covering Johannesburg, Kimberley, Vaal/Potch and Bloemfontein. The role focuses on generating leads, building relationships and expanding the customer base for our full supply‑chain solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct new‑business appointments across the assigned territory.
• Cold‑call prospects to generate fresh leads and convert them into customers.
• Achieve individual sales targets by promoting freight, courier, international and warehousing services.
• Identify customer needs, develop tailored opportunities and expand the client portfolio.
• Maintain daily updates in Salesforce and submit weekly call reports.
• Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to C‑level decision makers.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) minimum; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• At least five years of proven corporate sales experience with a track record of meeting targets.
• Experience selling full supply‑chain products (freight, courier, international, warehousing).
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and present solutions at C‑level.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Salesforce for pipeline and activity management.
