Business Development Manager – International Markets

About the role

Armscor is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth in international and local defence and commercial markets. The role sits within the Marketing and Business Development team and supports the South African Defence Industry’s expansion strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development plans aligned with corporate and marketing strategies.
• Identify, evaluate and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships both locally and abroad.
• Prepare business proposals and feasibility assessments for potential investments.
• Provide market intelligence and research insights to support positioning of Armscor and the defence industry.
• Collaborate with government departments, the Department of Defence and other institutions to advance SADI initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, promote the Armscor brand at local and international engagements, and implement feedback to improve satisfaction.
• Support the development of SMMEs and BEE companies through targeted marketing and business development activities.
• Contribute to budgeting and financial management for marketing and business development functions.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work in a results‑driven environment and achieve business development targets.
• Strong understanding of the defence sector and international market dynamics.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills with government and industry partners.
• Ability to produce high‑quality business proposals and feasibility studies.
