Business Development Manager – Agri Drones

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Agri Drones will lead the introduction and promotion of UAV solutions for crop spraying, seed spreading and fertiliser application across the Western Cape and selected neighbouring markets. Reporting to the Business Development & Innovation team, you will educate growers, acquire new customers and nurture existing relationships while driving revenue for our advanced positioning technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Educate the target market on UAV applications in agriculture.
• Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships in the Western Cape.
• Establish and manage reseller partnerships in neighbouring countries.
• Register all sales activities and opportunities in Salesforce, keeping records up‑to‑date.
• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Manage the sales pipeline, produce reliable forecasts and achieve high conversion rates.
• Collaborate with Marketing to boost brand awareness and represent the company at trade shows.
• Contribute to sales strategy development, annual budgeting and competitor analysis.
• Prepare high‑quality documentation such as forecasts, presentations, financial reports and quotations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of sales or business development experience in the agricultural crop sector.
• Strong understanding of drone technology and its agricultural applications.
• Proven track record of acquiring and growing customer accounts.
• Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) is required.
• Experience with DJI AGRAS drone platforms is highly beneficial.
