Business Development Lead

About the role

Join a leading payment aggregator as a Business Development Lead, focusing on high‑volume and strategic bill issuers. You will drive transaction growth by nurturing existing biller relationships and onboarding new high‑volume partners.

Key responsibilities

• Increase transaction volumes across current billers and payment channels (retail and digital).
• Identify, source, and onboard new high‑volume billers.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key biller stakeholders.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships such as banks and referral partners.
• Collaborate with marketing to enhance market presence.
• Serve as the primary liaison between billers/prospects and internal teams.
• Ensure smooth operational delivery for all biller‑related activities.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on sales performance, opportunities, and forecasts.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• 5‑8 years of experience in payments or financial services with proven sales and enterprise‑level client management.
• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem (retail, digital, banking, card schemes, EFT, settlement, acquiring).
• Valid driver’s licence, own transport, and willingness to travel frequently.
• Fluent business English; additional languages are a plus.
