Business Development Engineer – Technical Sales

About the role

Our client, a global leader in mineral processing solutions, is looking for a driven Business Development Engineer to expand its footprint in the mining sector. The role blends technical expertise with sales acumen to deliver tailored solutions to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the mining and mineral processing industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Understand client requirements and propose customized technical solutions.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and presentations.
• Support project execution by coordinating with engineering and operations teams.
• Conduct site visits and client meetings as needed.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in technical sales or business development within mining, minerals, or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of mineral processing equipment and solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel as required.
