Branch Operator – Port Elizabeth

About the role
The Branch Operator will manage daily operations at our Port Elizabeth depot for a national truck rental company. This role ensures smooth vehicle flow, customer service, and compliance with licensing and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with customers and other branches regarding bookings and vehicle availability.
- Arrange and monitor vehicle servicing and licensing.
- Handle vehicle abuse incidents, coordinate recovery, and obtain repair quotes.
- Prepare insurance claims and related documentation.
- Manage workshop work orders, gate passes, fuel slips, and fleet pack/month‑end reporting.
- Assist with contract costing and maintain petty cash.
- Schedule drivers, manage keys, and process traffic fines and breakdowns.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays or after‑hours when required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow established systems and procedures.
Required skills
- Proficiency with standard PC applications (PC literate).
