Shuttle Inspector – Transport Services

About the role

The Shuttle Inspector will monitor and inspect the university’s fleet and student shuttle services, ensuring a safe, reliable and punctual transport experience for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect fleet vehicles and student shuttles on a regular basis.
• Continuously monitor shuttle operations and report any service problems.
• Maintain student safety standards throughout all transport activities.
• Perform administrative duties related to shuttle and fleet services.

Required profile

• Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Highly trustworthy and reliable.
• In‑depth knowledge of vehicle operating licences, route and charter permits, and relevant legislation such as the NLTA.
• Computer literate with general word‑processing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to work after hours.
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (technical logistics qualification preferred).
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driving licence; PDP qualification is advantageous.
