Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Benoni Lake Side)

About the role

The Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor will work in the Benoni Lake Side branch of Sanlam Developing Markets, providing tailored financial advice and promoting a range of affordable insurance and savings products to individuals and families.

Key responsibilities

• Promote Sanlam Retail Mass products and increase market share.
• Provide sound financial advice and high‑level client service within the branch.
• Identify client needs, recommend suitable insurance and savings solutions, and cross‑sell value‑added products.
• Submit new business through appropriate channels and ensure compliance with product and regulatory requirements.
• Manage client appointments, walk‑ins and follow‑up on payments, reminders and policy changes.
• Handle client queries, policy cancellations and alternative payment arrangements, escalating when necessary.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of retail financial products such as funeral insurance, education savings, life cover and personal accident plans.
• Ability to assess customers’ financial goals and match them with appropriate solutions.
• Good organisational skills to prioritise appointments and manage walk‑in traffic.
• Commitment to compliance, due‑diligence and accurate client data validation.
