About the role

Pick n Pay is hiring a Blockman (retail assistant) for its Stellenbosch Square store in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This is a full-time, entry-level position within the retail network, which was founded in 1967 and serves millions of customers across Africa.

Key responsibilities

Safely stack and store products in an organised manner and merchandise items according to established standards
Inspect product quality and remove any expired stock
Follow and uphold security protocols
Approach and assist customers courteously and professionally, and promote products effectively
Communicate by listening attentively and responding suitably
Adhere to rules and regulations, and act conscientiously, dependably and accurately
Prevent waste, shrinkage and damage
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards on the floor and in back areas
Verify accurate pricing, such as labels

Required profile

Matric qualification
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with motivated colleagues
