Beverage Store Supervisor

About the role

The Beverage Store Supervisor is responsible for planning, controlling and managing all beverage stock to meet the operational needs of the venue. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Controller, the role ensures optimal stock levels, cost efficiency and compliance with CTICC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage beverage orders according to weekly event schedules and monitor price fluctuations.
• Oversee receipt, storage (FIFO), issuing and record‑keeping of stock in line with SOPs.
• Conduct accurate stocktakes, maintain reports and collaborate with Event Executives, Beverage, Facility and Chef teams.
• Supervise Section Leaders and Storemen, allocate equipment, and ensure security and proper handovers.
• Maintain venue set‑up, enforce clean‑as‑you‑go practices and coordinate equipment and OE returns.
• Verify staffing requisitions, conduct performance reviews and deliver on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, Inventory or Supervisory Management; Diploma (NQF Level 6) is advantageous.
• 3–5 years experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star establishment as a Beverage Store Clerk or Supervisor.
• Proven beverage stock management, data capture and basic financial management skills.
