Back of House Administrator

About the role

The Back of House Administrator supports Thirst Bar Services’ event and bar operations from its Sandton office. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that inventory, documentation, and logistical processes run smoothly for every client event.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory and stock records; process orders and coordinate deliveries/collections.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to track costs and update databases.
• Prepare and update operational reports, handle basic invoicing and purchase orders.
• Support scheduling, logistics, and documentation for events, including health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Respond to operational queries from staff and management, ensuring timely resolution.

Required profile

• Strong administrative and organisational abilities, with meticulous data‑entry and record‑keeping skills.
• Bilingual/native proficiency in English and Afrikaans (non‑negotiable).
• Proficiency with office software such as spreadsheets, word processing, email, and scheduling tools.
• Comfort working with inventory or POS systems and basic financial tasks (invoices, purchase orders, cost tracking).
• Effective communication, collaboration, and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant qualification or certificate in administration, business, hospitality, or related field; hospitality or events experience is advantageous.
