Automotive Workshop Repair Assistant – 3 Month Fixed-Term

About the role

The Repair Shop Assistant supports technicians and workshop management in a busy automotive repair environment. You will help prepare vehicles, maintain a clean workshop, and ensure safe handling of tools and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technicians with vehicle preparation and post‑repair tasks.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and organise tools and equipment.
• Move and care for customer vehicles safely within the workshop.
• Handle basic administrative duties and follow workshop procedures.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate preferred.
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence preferred.
• Previous experience in an automotive workshop or repair environment.
• Ability to follow instructions, work safely and efficiently, and collaborate as part of a team.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of motor vehicles and workshop operations.
• Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment.
• Basic computer literacy.

What we offer

• Salary ranging from ZAR 12,000 to ZAR 15,000 per month, dependent on experience.
