Associate Attorney / Professional Assistant

About the role

Our client, an established legal practice located in Newton Park, Gqeberha, is looking for an Associate Attorney / Professional Assistant. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, handling a variety of client matters and further developing their legal career in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and progress civil litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Provide legal advice and representation in corporate and commercial law transactions.
• Handle employment law disputes and compliance issues for clients.
• Assist with family law cases, including drafting pleadings and attending court.
• Conduct legal research, draft documents, and liaise with clients and senior counsel.

Required profile

• LLB, BCom LLB or BA LLB qualification.
• Admission as an Attorney of the High Court with the right of appearance.
• Minimum three years of experience in civil litigation, corporate/commercial, employment and family law.
• Admission as a Notary is advantageous.
