About the role

Hopewell Private Game Reserve is looking for a motivated Assistant Lodge Manager to support the Lodge Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences within a luxury private game reserve. This hands‑on role combines operational oversight with guest‑focused service, ensuring the lodge runs smoothly and maintains the highest standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lodge Manager with daily administration and operational tasks.
• Oversee guest services, ensuring memorable experiences and prompt resolution of any issues.
• Coordinate activities across departments such as housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
• Supervise and mentor lodge staff, fostering a high‑performance team environment.
• Maintain hospitality and presentation standards throughout the lodge and reserve.
• Support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies.

Required profile

• Passion for luxury hospitality and wildlife tourism.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a guest‑centric mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Required skills

• Experience in lodge or hotel operations management.
