Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the F&B Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences across our restaurant, bar and banquet operations at Premier Hotels & Resorts in Cape Town. This full‑time role offers the chance to develop your leadership skills in a fast‑paced, 4‑star/5‑star hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the F&B Manager in overseeing daily operations of restaurant, bar and banqueting services.
• Maintain high service standards and operational efficiency to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Supervise, train and motivate F&B staff, conducting performance evaluations.
• Monitor stock levels, order supplies and manage inventory control.
• Implement and uphold hygiene, health and safety regulations.
• Support cost‑control initiatives and identify revenue‑maximising opportunities.
• Help with staff scheduling, payroll processing and performance reviews.
• Address guest complaints promptly and resolve service‑related issues.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably within a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• A hospitality management qualification is advantageous.
