Assistant F&B Manager

About the role

The Capital Hotels is looking for an Assistant Complex F&B Manager in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. The post is responsible for supervising and coordinating all day-to-day food and beverage operations for the Restaurant, Room Service, Conferencing and Functions, in line with the Capital Hotel Group's standards. It is the second-in-command to the F&B Manager and takes the lead in the Manager's absence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily food and beverage operations across the Restaurant, Room Service, Conferencing and Functions.
• Handle all details of functions held at the hotel according to group standards.
• Focus on three main areas: supervision, front of house and administration.
• Act as deputy to the F&B Manager and step in when needed.

Required profile

• Matric and a Hospitality Management qualification.
• 2 to 3 years of Assistant Food and Beverage management experience; previous restaurant management experience is beneficial.
• Proven experience managing a team of 45 people or more.
• Relocation costs are at your own expense if you live outside the city where the hotel is located.
