About the role

The General Printing Works (Security Printing Directorate) is advertising two positions for Artisan Production Grade A Roll Collators in Pretoria. The annual salary is R253 341.00 (OSD). No experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Operate roll collators, guillotines and other finishing equipment.
• Perform required maintenance and coordinate repairs or technical support with maintenance personnel.
• Carry out quality assurance and control to ensure finished print products meet standards and specifications.
• Process security-printed products according to production specifications and customer requirements.
• Achieve production targets and complete work on time in line with GPW standards.
• Clean and maintain machines according to schedule.
• Take part in safety, health, environment, risk and quality (SHERQ) initiatives and comply with OHSA safety requirements.
• Complete daily production timesheets accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Grade 10 or equivalent qualification plus a completed apprenticeship.
• Trade Test Certificate in Mechanized Bookbinding.
• Grade 12 is an added advantage; experience in the printing industry is also an added advantage.
• A valid driver's licence is an added advantage.
• Must be able to obtain a positive security clearance.
