Apparel Sales Consultant

About the role

The purpose of the Apparel Sales Consultant role is to build the new Apparel brand, contribute to an outstanding service culture, observe store standards, operational excellence, and deliver on service and sales strategies alongside the Apparel team. The role delivers merchandising plans, loss prevention and related mitigation plans, achievement of sales targets, and supports efforts to ensure return customer traffic to the store as a key indicator of success.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a friendly and engaging customer experience while maintaining a positive and lively atmosphere.
• Participate in store meetings to share performance, celebrate sales, identify training needs and communicate operational updates.
• Maintain adherence to trading hours, opening and closing procedures, and ensure adequate staffing during peak periods.
• Keep the store appearance to guidelines, ensuring neat, clean, well‑stocked environment and proper signage, planogram integrity and merchandise presentation.
• Support front‑of‑house operations including pricing, promotions, discounts and donation processes.
• Monitor and mitigate loss, flagging issues and ensuring correct administration of sales activities.
• Share suggestions for continuous improvement of customer experience, campaigns and sales opportunities.
• Provide support to the broader Apparel team and other stores or projects as required.
• Uphold compliance with company policies, health & safety, security and loss‑prevention procedures.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a retail or service‑oriented environment, interacting with customers and handling stock.
• High energy individual with exposure to apparel, clothing or fashion retail.
• Understanding of retail procedures, standards, loss‑prevention and health & safety guidelines.
• Flexibility to work daytime, afternoon, evening shifts, weekends and public holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods, lift items and perform physical tasks.
