AI Security Specialist – Cybersecurity

About the role

Our client, an AI security platform, is seeking an AI / Security Specialist to strengthen and accelerate its product as it moves into a go‑to‑market phase. The role focuses on applied AI security, building and deploying controls that protect databases from AI‑driven threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and harden AI‑powered security solutions for real‑time database interaction.
• Develop and enforce policies, threat‑detection rules and audit‑logging mechanisms.
• Lead product acceleration and support go‑to‑market execution.
• Assess and mitigate risks where AI agents interact with systems, data and databases.

Required profile

• Self‑starting, high‑calibre individual comfortable working in a founder‑led early‑stage environment.
• Strong ownership mentality, practical problem‑solving approach and high integrity.
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
• Willingness to contribute strategically while remaining hands‑on.

Required skills

• 3+ years of practical AI security experience.
• Threat and anomaly detection.
• LLM security and prompt‑injection mitigation.
• Applied machine learning in production environments.
• Security analytics, detection engineering and security monitoring.
• Risk assessment for AI agents interacting with systems, data and databases.
• Policy enforcement and audit‑logging implementation.
