AI Security Specialist – Cybersecurity

About the role

Our client, an AI security platform that safeguards database interactions, is seeking an AI Security Specialist to lead the next phase of platform hardening, product acceleration and go‑to‑market execution. The role focuses on applied AI security, building and deploying controls that protect against data exposure, destructive queries, compliance breaches and operational mistakes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and harden AI‑powered security controls for real‑time database interaction monitoring.
• Develop and maintain threat and anomaly detection mechanisms, including LLM security and prompt‑injection mitigation.
• Translate AI security concepts into production‑ready policies, audit logging and risk‑assessment frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with the founder and early‑stage team to drive product acceleration and market launch.
• Perform security analytics, detection engineering and continuous security monitoring in production environments.

Required profile

• Self‑starting, high‑calibre individual comfortable with full ownership in a founder‑led, early‑stage setting.
• Strong integrity, sound judgement and a pragmatic problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving, lean startup environment.
• Strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution capability.
