AI Engineer – Cloud & Generative AI Solutions

About the role

IQbusiness is seeking a hands‑on AI Engineer to design, build and operationalise cloud‑based AI solutions across Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. The role sits in the Data & Analytics team, reporting to the AI Capability Lead, and focuses on delivering production‑grade Generative AI, RAG agents and document‑intelligence solutions for financial services and other sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy Generative AI and LLM‑based applications, including end‑to‑end RAG pipelines, document‑intelligence workflows and multi‑agent solutions.
• Implement cloud AI architectures on Azure, AWS or GCP, integrating AI models via APIs, Service Bus, web apps and messaging platforms.
• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines (Python, SQL, PySpark) to support AI workloads, ensuring data quality, lineage and governance.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines for model deployment, monitoring and versioning, applying Responsible AI and security best practices.
• Engage with senior client stakeholders, contribute to pre‑sales activities, demos, PoCs and RFP responses.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years delivering AI/ML or data solutions, with 1–2 years hands‑on Generative AI engineering experience.
• Strong data‑engineering background (Python, PySpark, SQL, lakehouse patterns) and experience on at least one major cloud platform.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with ability to translate business needs into AI solutions.
