Accounting & Reporting Assurance Senior Consultant

About the role

As an Accounting & Reporting Assurance Senior Consultant you will support Deloitte clients in aligning their accounting and reporting practices with strategic goals while ensuring compliance and audit readiness. You will also lead the learning roadmap for Africa Talent professionals, bridging internal development with client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Create, drive and own the learning roadmap for Africa Talent professionals.
• Ensure skill development aligns with client requirements.
• Support clients in aligning accounting & reporting to strategic objectives.
• Draft position papers on complex accounting & reporting issues such as restructurings, M&A transactions, impairments and CGU structures.
• Prepare accounting manuals and ensure audit readiness under IFRS and NL GAAP.
• Apply internal controls expertise in an advisory capacity to help clients progress.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in accounting, reporting and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and NL GAAP frameworks.
• Proven ability to develop learning programmes and align them with business needs.
