Accountant – Finance (Agribusiness)

About the role
A well‑established agribusiness in Hoedspruit is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support its finance function and maintain financial discipline in a fast‑moving operational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Manage creditor, payroll, petty cash and general‑ledger reconciliations.
- Process journal entries and assist with management reporting.
- Investigate account variances and resolve discrepancies.
- Support annual audit preparation and ensure statutory compliance.
- Assist the Financial Manager with planning and day‑to‑day finance operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, or equivalent.
- 3‑5 years of accounting experience in a commercial environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems.
- Strong understanding of VAT, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
