Account Manager: Retail Environments

About the role

A creative agency in Cape Town's Northern Suburbs is looking for a hands-on Account Manager: Retail Environments. This is a permanent, full-time, office-based role with regular visits to stores, client offices and project sites. You will work with well-known retail brands on store builds, revamps, in-store signage and retail theatre, from the initial brief to the finishing touches on an installation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact for retail clients, taking briefs and confirming scope, timelines and budgets in writing
• Brief suppliers, check artwork, proofs and samples against brand guidelines and attend installations and store openings
• Review creative work against brand guidelines, run weekly client and team meetings and share competitor insights every two weeks
• Maintain project records, keep costs visible, present estimates and flag scope changes
• Visit client and competitor stores regularly and share observations with the team

Required profile

• 3-5 years' client service experience in an advertising, retail design, signage or shopfitting agency
• Degree or diploma in marketing, advertising, business or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience managing retail or in-store projects from brief to installation
• Valid driver's licence, own vehicle and regional travel availability; occasional after-hours or weekend work

Required skills

• Understanding of print and signage production, including substrates, finishes, dimensions and proofing
• Commercial awareness of estimates, budgets and margins
• Ability to read store layouts and technical drawings (even better)
