About the role
Afrimat Mining Services in Meyerton is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to lead its central workshop and field service mechanics. The role focuses on ensuring equipment readiness, safety, and productivity across the site.
Key responsibilities
- Management of a central workshop, site‑based mechanics and field service mechanics activities.
- Management of workshop transport and stores.
- Management of rebuilt projects and budgets.
- Conduct site visits and plant inspections as required.
Required profile
- Red Seal Trade qualification or Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Management Development Program advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior supervisory mechanical workshop role, including experience with hydraulic drill rigs, mobile crushing and screening equipment, and earth‑moving plant.
- Proven people‑management skills, including disciplinary processes and artisan development.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Windows IT tools.
