Wine Lounge Tutor – Stellenbosch

About the role

The Wine Lounge Tutor will create engaging, professional wine tasting experiences for guests at our Stellenbosch location. You will combine a passion for wine with top‑tier hospitality to deliver memorable cellar tours and tastings.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the wine tasting area, ensuring proper presentation, temperature, and portion control.
• Conduct guided wine tastings and cellar tours, explaining wine characteristics confidently.
• Process wine orders, manage stock levels, and perform daily inventory checks.
• Record stock movements, minimise losses, and report any discrepancies.
• Promote wine sales, handle customer orders, and ensure compliance with the Liquor Act and related regulations.
• Provide warm, knowledgeable service to discerning clientele.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification and reliable transport.
• 1–2 years experience as a Wine Tutor or in a similar wine‑hospitality role.
• In‑depth knowledge of wines and the ability to present them confidently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and ability to work flexible hours in a fast‑paced environment.
