Warehouse Shift Supervisor (M/F)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics South Africa (AGL) is recruiting a permanent Warehouse Shift Supervisor for its contract logistics business in Johannesburg. The role covers physical inventory management of the warehouse and supervises picking, scanning and order preparation. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate picking, scanning and preparation of orders for dispatch
• Perform super counting as required by operations
• Pick stock according to pick slips, checking quantity, item code and condition, and report any deviations to the supervisor
• Inspect stock for damage and quality defects, and report shortages or wrong bin locations
• Receive picked orders from the staging area, verify quantities and part numbers, and ensure documentation is attached to cartons and shipments
• Maintain a clean, orderly warehouse following the Clean Aisle Policy, keeping shelves, pallet areas and workstations neat
• Be available for overtime and compulsory periodic stock takes
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks required by the client or supervisor

Required profile

• Matric
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Adherence to warehouse SOPs
