Warehouse Checker

About the role

Premier FMCG is seeking a Warehouse Checker to ensure accurate, safe and compliant warehouse operations. You will verify picked and received stock, maintain product integrity and support effective stock control in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, pallet conditions and supporting documentation.
• Update bin cards, perform stock counts, cycle counts and traceability checks.
• Enforce health, safety, allergen control, stock rotation, stacking and hygiene standards.
• Identify, report and manage damaged stock and pallets, ensuring correct disposal.
• Maintain accurate receiving, picking, loading and CHEP pallet documentation.
• Confirm correct stock, labels, pallet counts and truck allocations before dispatch.
• Coordinate picking and forklift teams for picking and put‑away tasks.
• Stage, check and document loads, including photographic verification when required.
• Promote a clean, safe, organized and audit‑ready warehouse environment.
• Support compliance with operational, HR and equipment inspection procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and daily operational targets.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of picker or forklift driver experience in an FMCG environment.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Strong numerical and checking abilities.
• Good communication, coordination and escalation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
