About the role

The Van Porter plays a crucial part in ensuring that company products reach customers safely and on time. Working closely with the driver, the role involves handling stock, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and complying with strict food safety and health & safety standards. This position requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and occasional overnight stays on delivery routes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the driver with loading and off‑loading goods.
• Handle and organise stock for each delivery.
• Complete and verify delivery documentation.
• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
• Operate in refrigerated conditions and manage temperature‑controlled cargo.
• Work shifts, weekends, public holidays, overtime, and sleep‑out routes as required.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated environments.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Sober habits and strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Food Safety standards.
• Understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
