About the role
Thembisile Hani Local Municipality is offering 250 temporary positions within its Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) under the Social Services Department. The roles are fixed‑term for 24 months and focus on essential community cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Cleaning, mopping, sweeping, litter picking, street cleaning, cleaning of gutters, clearing illegal dumping sites and walkways, and separating waste at source.
- Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or their designate.
Required profile
- Must be unemployed (indigent households); preference given to youth, people with disabilities, women, and residents close to the work area.
- Matriculation is an advantage; full‑time resident of Thembisile Hani Municipality; good physical health; proof of residential address and ward number must be stated on the CV.
What we offer
- Stipend of R130.00 per day.
- 24‑month fixed‑term contract.
