Technology and Digital Business Analyst

About the role

The Road Accident Fund, which provides cover and compensation for road users injured in motor vehicle accidents, is hiring a Specialist: Technology and Digital Business Analyst in Centurion. Reporting to the Senior Manager: Business Analytics and Continuous Improvement, the incumbent gathers, analyses and evaluates business requirements, user needs and functions using accredited methodologies and supporting software, with the aim of improving business processes and automating them.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document user requirements, validate them with users and obtain sign-off
• Contribute to departmental policies, procedures and processes, and keep up to date with effective policy and practice
• Carry out feasibility studies, identify benchmarks and best practices and make recommendations
• Design business processes, logical and technical system designs, database layouts, user interfaces and data flows, and schedule JAD sessions to sign off the design
• Manage change control, assist developers with impact analysis and document changes
• Support system integration testing, test packs, bug fixing, performance testing, user acceptance testing and system sign-off before implementation
• Aid in developing functional reporting systems and prepare proposals, briefings, presentations and reports for management
• Maintain technical and functional specifications and solution design documents, including for quality audits
• Manage stakeholder relationships, handle inquiries and support vendor and procurement coordination

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering
• Certificate in System Analysis and Design
• 5-7 years of experience in requirements gathering, system analysis and design
• Certificate in ITIL is an added advantage
• Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA and proof provided
