Senior IT Auditor

About the role

The Road Accident Fund's IT Audit unit is looking for a Senior IT Auditor in Centurion. Reporting to the IT Audit Manager, the incumbent conducts IT audits according to the audit plan and supervises junior staff. The Fund provides social benefits to people affected by motor vehicle accidents.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out audits following the approved Internal Audit Methodology, including a preliminary survey, planning documents (system description and risk and control gap analysis) confirmed with the auditee, and an audit programme
• Allocate audit work to auditors, manage hours, and supervise the audit process
• Review working papers, system descriptions and risk and control gap analyses for completeness and accuracy
• Contribute to departmental policies, procedures and processes
• Prepare and submit draft audit reports, address review notes, track resolution of findings and recommend controls to business units
• Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Auditing, Computer Auditing or an IT-related qualification
• Registered with the Institute of Internal Auditors and/or ISACA; CISA is compulsory; CRISC, CISM or CGEIT is an added advantage
• 5 to 7 years of experience in an auditing environment
• Experience with SAP Basis, General Controls Reviews (GCRs), Application Controls Reviews (ACRs), SDLC and Cyber Security

Required skills

• CAATs tools, preferably ACL
• Audit management system, preferably TeamMate
• Knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, IIA and ISO standards
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Understanding of IT governance, IT risk management and cyber security principles
