Technical Sales Representative

About the role

Currently seeking a results‑driven Technical Sales Representative to join a dynamic commercial team. Ideally you should already be a resident in Richards Bay, with a proven sales track record within the engineering and manufacturing sector of that region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the engineering and manufacturing industries.
• Build and maintain long‑term, high‑value relationships with key client decision‑makers, engineers, and procurement managers.
• Conduct technical presentations and present tailored product/service solutions to address client needs.
• Prepare and present accurate commercial proposals, formal tenders, and quotations.
• Manage sales pipelines, forecast quarterly revenue, and consistently meet/exceed targets.
• Gather market intelligence, track competitor activity, and identify emerging industry trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience specifically within the engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Post‑matric qualification such as a National Diploma, Degree, or Technical Qualification in Sales, Marketing, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field (advantageous).
• Valid South African Code 8 (EB) unendorsed driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally.
